MY PLAYLIST
Thursday, November 08, 2007

haf been reading my GEK 1006 textbk for the past wk due to preparatns for mid-term test. in e book, theres alwis a short quote at the start of each chapt. some of which i find to b true:

"Communication is to a relationship, what breathing is to maintaining life." - Virginia Satir

"The easiest kind of relationship is with ten thousand people, the hardest is with one." - Joan Baez

"The aim of an argument or discussion should not be victory, but progress." - Joseph Joubert

words of wisdom worth remembering for life.
of cus, remembering is not enough; put it into practice.

i personally like the last quote most cus it goes parallel with my own thoughts. really, the primary goal of addressin a conflict is to solve e problem & not aggravate it.
being willing to take the 1st step shows tt you cherish & want to preserve the frenship/relationship.
this bonding is simply worth the effort.
put your pride aside, u dont necessarily have to admit u r in the wrong or u r the loser.. there r situations whereby its hard to define clearly who is in the right or wrong, but is tt really so important?
healthy conflict management strategies definitely add values to the frenship/relationship.

readers, pls do not stop at this point. look into these phrases, i hope u'll be able to gain useful insights!
