wow!! i finally reached home safely!

the nite of new year eve at marina bay (esplanade) was packed w LOTS of ppl! we reached there at 8pm.. but still, we managed to settle down on a spot la~ a not-bad spot cus the clear sky is right above our heads without any trees blocking =) tts for the purpose of looking at e fireworks beautifully hee!!

the appetizer for the fireworks started at ~10pm.. then there were afew more at 11pm & 11.30pm.. the fireworks were really v little, guess they jus wan up to warm up for the grand firework show at 12am =) the finale of the fireworks at 12 midnite lasted for about 6-8mins & it was so pretty!! the entire dark blue sky was nicely lit up by the well-planned fireworks display, right b4 our eyes! definitely created a 'WOW' effect on us! throughout e waiting time, there were some on-off drizzles.. jus like others, we opened our umbrellas to 'shelther' ourselves.. but for some who do not haf umbrellas, they can only run towards the esplanade building or wait helplessly in the drizzle, hoping for it to stop. there was a family who had no umbrella but they had a mat which they were sitting on.. haha~ e mat was q huge & so they used it to cover their heads.. everyone helped in lifting the mat up esp. at e corners.. & some other strangers who had no umbrella also chapp-ed inside to take shelther! haha~ TEAMWORK leh! hahaha~ oh Juz-B came to perform for us too! they were good, i mus say! as from their performance tt nite, i really admired their talent & also njoyed the entertainment! =)

the crowds after the fireworks were CHAOtic!! the behaviour of the ppl had gone beyond e control of the traffic police officers or whoever who r standing there to ensure order while getting out of the area.. i duno wad happened, but i guess mayb sumbody had crossed over the road which was initially 'out of bound' for pedestrians, thus sparked off the entire rowdy situation!

cars honked at each other, ppl shoved & pushed & nobody gave a damn to the traffic lights! not even a single soul attempted to obey the traffic rules & cars/buses/motorcycles came from all directions of the road.. the crowds were HUGE & were blocking the road, causing the vehicles to either move real slow or remain stationery! the usual peace & order of our transport system had vanished all of a sudden tt nite! the crowd were all impatient to get home, push here push there like nobody business -_-"

as we were FINALLY making our way towards the entrance to the mrt, we were all warm & abit sweaty.. sumore ppl pushing everywhere & vehicles are all in a mess.. we spotted some ppl staying at the nearby hotel looking out at us.. it was really a pathetic & ugly sight to display to these ppl staying in the hotel..if they were some tourists from overseas, i guessed this must haf painted a very negative image of spore in them! & u noe wad, some of the ppl in e hotel still poured water down on us!! i did not kana e water, but who knows whether it was really water? i was abit fed up cus those ppl in the hotel did so at least twice!! wad the.. -_-"

anyway, i was glad i m home la~ thanks darling for sending me home safely! walking from lakeside w me, munching on 7-11 whipped potato at 2am, accompanying me up in the lift.. whee!! happy 2007 to everyone! may it be a fruitful & wonderful year ahead! cheers!! ^^
